Just a quick note to mention that if you haven’t noticed already, the theme has been changed! This theme is pure css, and still have a few kinks to work out. Well, maybe I should call them quirks? In any event, if you notice something, please mention it to me, and I will do my best to fix it.

News Gallery
This site has been upgraded to Drupal 4.4.2!
I know you have all been waiting to hear that news. Next up, Gallery!
UPDATE: my galleries have been upgraded now too! Exciting, ground breaking news!
Deprecated Weather
Well, today was supposed to be about yardwork, but since it started raining, I had to put that on hold. Instead I did a little site work. I cleaned up the taxonomy (not that you will notice much), removed the cloud module since it has been deprecated in Drupal, configured the weblinks module to output my monitored links (essentially replacing the site cloud), installed the weather module, and installed the subscriptions module (only useful for users who login).
Pretty successul I would say.
As a side note, I will leave the notifications module, and the subscribtions module running side by each for now. They offer similar functionality, but offer it differently.
The notify module allows you to receive emails when new content is put up here, or if new comments are added to any story.
The subscription module allows you to subscribe to certain threads, or certain taxonomies (categories of posts). It is a little more fine grained than the notify module. I haven’t really tested this one yet, but hopefully it will just work!
Happy Blogaversary
Snippet Formatting
Little news snippet here. This site has been updated to Drupal 4.4.0 Of course, while in the middle of this upgrade, I happened to notice that the fine folks at Drupal have just released 4.4.1
There are still a couple things to fix. The random banner is broken for now. So is the formatting of the header. I will get to those hopefully later today.
Upgraded Watermarks
Just a quick site announcement here. Gallery has released version 1.4.3
I have now upgraded to this version, and I am looking forward to trying out some of the new features (like automagic watermarks). You can fing my galleries here.
The upgrade procedure for Gallery is pretty simple, and I like that. I like that a lot. Next up Drupal (on my time off).

Something Geekery
In case you hadn’t noticed a difference, on the weekend I update the theme a little. I hand tweaked the xtemplate code to produce something I liked a little better. Then I changed the CSS, and modified a few site settings. In all it was a good clean geekery session on the weekend.
I also update my galleries to the latest version (Gallery v1.4.2).
Upgrading CSS
Today must be upgrade day for me. I just finished upgrading this site to Drupal version 4.3.0. I was a couple versions behind. Some of the new functionality is good, and other bits I can do without.
If you see anything amiss, shoot me an email. I am pretty sure I upgraded everything I was supposed to, and re integrated my customizations. I still need to do a little CSS work, but all should be good. 😛
Wicked Check
I just update my Gallery software to the latest version. Suuweeeet! There are some wicked new features. Some of my favorites are: user self registration and email functionality (new users added, new comments, etc).
If you run Gallery, you should definitely check this new version out.
